BELOW ARE THE CRITERIA TO APPLY FOR THE DPSPAA SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION’S SCHOLARSHIPS.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA TO APPLY FOR A DPSPAA SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION GRANT.

1. An active brother of the Delta Pi fraternity. Or, an active Delta Pi/Sigma Pi Alumni or their immediate family

2. Immediate family is defined as any legal children or legal grandchildren of a Delta Pi/ Sigma Pi alumni

3. Have a minimum GPA of 2.5

4. Must attend a college, university, vocation, or trade school based in the USA.

5. Must be a high school graduate

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA TO APPLY FOR A DPSPAA FOUNDATION “Brothers helping Brothers” GRANT.

The “Brother in Need” program provides confidential financial assistance through Grants to alumni brothers facing hardship. Requests may be submitted for yourself or on behalf of another alumni brother. All applications will be reviewed by the Delta Pi Sigma Pi Scholarship Foundation Board, and all information will remain strictly confidential.

2. Immediate family is defined as any legal children or legal grandchildren of a Delta Pi / Sigma Pi alumni

3. Assess if the “Brother in Need” request if it is to directly fund an Alumni-Brother or an organization such as qualifying charitable institution (e.g., 501(c)(3) status, mission, etc

Contributions (aka: gifts) to the scholarship fund can be made by writing a check payable to the Bloomsburg University Foundation with a note or notation directing the money to be placed in the Delta Pi / Sigma Pi Alumni Scholarship Fund.Every dollar of your donation goes to the Scholarship fund and it is tax deductible.

In the annual letter sent by BU asking to support the university, there is a line entitled “Other”. All you have to do is write Delta Pi / Sigma Pi Alumni Scholarship Fund on that line.

The DPSPAA & Bill Welk scholarship application process opens typically in early January, closing in early March  via Bloomsburg University Foundation website.  https://bloomu.scholarships.ngwebsolutions.com/Scholarships/Search

 The 36th Pledge Class and Galen Purcell scholarships are available via a separate application provided by the DPSPAA Foundation. 

 Your Sage will share the timing and application process with the Brotherhood.   

Scholarship recipients are notified in the late 2nd quarter of each year.    

 “Check presentation” ceremony is held each Fall at BU / DPSPAA Homecoming.
